cannot sign in to ebay

On laptop I am unable to sign in to ebay.

Using MS Internet Explorer 6.0

www.ebay.co.uk, enter user name and correct password, then see the "The page cannot be displayed screen".

All setting are as suggested on the error page.

Now I can get it if I bid on soimething, this reuqires signing in so it is not as if works has barredthe site.

I did delete a fair bit of "jiunk" in Local Settings\Temporarty Internet Files that I think coincided with this problem,

Anyone have ideas?

Not the end of the world but not very conveninent having to bid on stuff to get in.

this happens to my ebay too via work. Its something to do with ebay not linking properly to the validation page as you login.

The problem never happens with firefox, so i have it separately installed just for ebay

^^^ interesting - I have desktop at work that is fine; and it used to be ok on laptop too;

I don't really know what has changed and not enough clues to investigate it.

may be worth sending Q. to ebay to see what they say?

Download Mozilla and use that instead of IE.
