when you make a website, do you have to have permision to use a name or a picture from other web sites from the relevent people

you don't need permission as such

but if you're using other peoples pictures, it's only fair to upload them to your own webspace (rather than leeching from their site) and link to their site at some stage.

it's mostly a matter or playing fair.

if you're worried about any sort of copyright put in a small link to a disclamer saying you can't remember where you got the material and if anyone complains to contact you and you'll happily removce it. very very rarely does it cause any probs..

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!
