Stalled download. How to restart from where left off.

As the title really.
Downloading a 609meg file and it's stalled at 94% (568mb). Now I really don't
want to start all over again so what to do.
Task manager says it's running but it's not doing owt, if I press cancel will I lose the lot ?
Using IE8 and XP.

Depends how you are downloading and whether the website allows resuming downloads.

If straight forward download - you MAY get the option. Otherwise you may have to start again...

Use Flashget.

I download movies at 800+MB and it stops when i leave for work, and continues when it hits a wireless network. No probs.
