i recon this might be an issue you'll come up with fairly regularly.
my mum has only of these tiny laptops and needed something put on it, my dad has a USB external hard disc, which sucessfuly worked with the laptop.
soooo, what about if you bought a small cheap usb cd drive? i'm sure you'd need it in the future
in saying that, the cheapest one i can find from my usual place is £56, which appeard to do everything (reader and writer in every format of cd &
dvd) i'm sure they can be had

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

If you have access to a CD/DVD drive and a USB drive (big enough to fit the CD/DVD on) it's possible.
You need to copy the entire contents of the CD/DVD to the USB drive and put that into the notebook.
The USB drive should autorun, if not open it from 'my computer' and find setup/install.
That should work fine.

Could set up a network and share the cd over the network using the other laptops cd drive
but as said small USB HHD or a 4GB memory stick about £10 from ASDA
Scot's do it better in Kilts.

Like the last suggestion the best .... I'll try this tonight.
Next option is the usb pen ... I've a 2Gb unit but may not be big enough.
I'll let you know how i get on.

2Gb should be enough.
Either USB stick or USB hard drive or Network?
If you set up a cable based network, you can share your DVD Rom and will install from there.

Last option sounds best in my opinion, you may find it difficult on a usb stick - not sure but think all microsoft software comes with copy protection
as an anti-piracy measure.
