test the lead they are prone to the cable breaking, may just need a new connector soldeing on

call rolta monday morning ask to talk to Ash, and you are a friends of Graeme, from Callright computers, pay over the phone and they will deliver to your door next day with a genuine part not a cheap copy.

what laptop is it, voltage and current....

if you ask for Ash he knows which on you need, the guys a genius knows every part number.
