ipod audio format
one for the ipoad and audio format gurus amounst you,
i have downloaded some spanish speaking lessons and was planning to put them on my ipod so i could listen to them whilst out and about, they are all
supposed to be in an mp3 format but when i transferred the lesson onto my ipod it says that 5 of the 30 lessons couldn't be transferred due to
an improper format
is there a converter program that would be able to convert these films to an ipod compatible file type?

is your ipod reallllly old? theyve had native mp3 support for a long time.
I know of audio convertors but they are designed to convert wma/wav etc into mp3 and will not work with mp3 to mp3 conversions.
Is there anything odd about those 5? modern versions of itunes generally convert songs to ipod compatible tracks - maybe there is DRM or something?

ipod is less than a year old, its the colour video one.

sorry that last sentence wasnt the clearest.
DRM is data rights management that'll protect the files from being used if they've been nabbed.
Do the tracks play in itunes?

I've got Roxio sound editor, for messing about with sound files. I'd imagine even with DRM you could open it and then stick the (un)edited
clip into a different place, while still keeping it mp3 with the same bitrate..
