forgotten windows password
My neice has forgotten the windows password on her laptop that she hasn't used for a while and now can't use it.
Does anyone know how to get around this without buying dodgy programs off the net.

dead easy
safe mode (press f8 whilst booting)
log in as admin
control pannel
users remove the password from her account
restart

I'm pretty sure you're knickered if you haven't got the password on the main (admin) account. Only way I know of is to re-install
windows.
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

That one does work although can be confusing right at the end! You need to do literally what it says.
I have one thats a little easier to use but a bigger download so let me know if you want me to upload it onto my ftp site.

sounds like you arnt booting into safe mode.
try doing it the easy way first
