laptop and blue ray
my farther in law has just got his first laptop , and it comes with a blue ray player.
Now it plays the discs fine by its self , but when you connect it to the telly it says the graphics card is not conpatable. Does it need a new card or
is it something else.
Cheers
Brad.

What breed of laptop is it? Was it sold as having tv out feature?
Can't put another video card into a laptop, they are all on board graphics, well all the ones I've seen are anyway.
Cheers

Disable the onboard video- Then play the DVD/BR.
Probably Fn and F5 on an Acer
The laptop won't be able to play a DVD/BR on both displays at the same time.

I have an Acer Aspire 6930 with blue ray and HDMI and it worked out of the box...try reloading the graphics driver from the Acer website
