Can't get onto Microsoft Websites

Hi all,

I bought a cheap second hand desktop for the kids, it comes with a new install of XP pro. It seems to connect to the web (i'm on Virgin cable broadband and connecting via network cable) but i cannot get onto any microsoft websites to register Office programs i've installed. All the other computers on the network connect fine. Can access most of the web on it and i've installed google chrome and the works fine, but still can't get onto Microsoft sites.

Any ideas?

Thanks

David

Check out your mtu size setting I had this problem too, couldn't get on to eBay either.

If you don't have an mtu size setting in your registry then try 1492, there are several guides on the net that show you how.
