Friends just been given a ps2, no wires at all not even power cable, what other leads do theyneed to get it up and running.

The above is correct if it is a normal old school PS2. They did do a newer slim line that has the power pack external. It uses a coax power plug. I think the video leads are the same.

The difference between the two other than actual size is the original has a motorised disc tray from the front. The slim line uses a non motorised flip up lid on the top.

Iirc all the playstation ones are the same, with the exception of the HD cable
