Is it using BES?

Did it ever work?

if the answer is yes to both, your admin needs to re-send the service book to get it to start syncing again. You may have to delete the service book on the BB device to get it to accept the new one, from memory I think is CICAL service

I use Google calender, have my work PC via outlook synchronise with Google Calendar and have the BB synchronise with Google Calendar it does it every ten minutes and I never need to connect the BB to the pc via a wire.

This allows both direction sync and works very reliably

So if anyone puts an appointment in my diary I know about it even when I'm out of the office.

No. This shouldn't be the case. If it's done right, the BB should sync in both directions without needing to be plugged into the laptop.

Jut to be sure - when you got the blackberry, did you have to enter an activation username and password?
