AMD or INTEL
Looking at buying a new laptop and wondered which processor is best to have .
Not really clued up on computer jargon.

This can get a bit like the BEC/CEC debate with people who only ever use one brand....
At the moment I would say the Intel Sandybridge is your best bet.... damn good bit of technology... although due to be replaced soon.
AMD are a little behind intel in terms of technology at the moment..... but no doubt this will change around in a few months as they compete with each
other.
Really depends on your budget.... I have a laptop with a Corei7 which is a pretty nifty bit of kit!

with a Laptop/Notebook/Netbook it is more important to look at battery life between charges than anything else.

I find they're kinda much the sameness really, not noticed any real difference they're all too slow!
