Can you borrow a Vista disc then install it using the windows serial number on the sticker under the laptop ? I got my nephew's laptop running
by doing that and he went online to get the drivers.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

You're unlikely to get anything from Toshiba, they might hold drivers etc but they're unlikely to keep versions of Windows. As mentioned,
the best option would be to borrow a copy of Vista. It will need to match the version though (home/business etc).
Alternatively, view it as an option to go to Windows 7, your laptop will love you for it.

Another option would be to go to Linux. I put Xubuntu on an old Sharp laptop and it runs great and finds everything I plug into it including an old
wifi dongle which never worked well under xp.
