Locostbuilders Google search members email address visibility security issue
Try this do a Google search "Locostbuilders" some members profiles with email addresses come up in the search results.

Just links to the two top posters profiles...
It's hardly a security alert if they've already chosen to display their contact details on the website???
It's Evolution Baby!

Isn't this just a case of allowing your e-mail address to be visible to others in you profile.

Does anyone know my Christian & Surname????
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

I did wonder about this, only a few days ago, when we had a very odd first post about house electrics
As, ALL of our emails are visable to any member
Not sure about you lot, but i seem to be getting a lot of VERY strange stuff sent to my email address!
now sent to spam, but very frustrating
Steve, (just my opinion. to avoid upsetting anyone)

I've never really understood why people get so upset about this - but if it bothers you THAT much then why don't people create a yahoo
mail account (other email providers are available) just for using on forums, it's not like it's going to cost you anything!
As for people knowing your real name - as I gave 30 seconds though to my user name 11 years ago because I thought Locostbuilders was going to last a
similar amount of time, anyone reading this forum for those 11 years has known my surname ( and working out my christian name isn't rocket
science).......... nothing bad's happened.......

Quite a few forums don't allow you to sign up with a yahoo/gmail address simply because the majority of spammers hide behind these generic free
email providers.

Then go into your profile and change your preferences. Your email is currently on a button at the bottom of every post you make. Change the setting
and it won't be.
