Webcam problems
My pc runs Windows 7 (64 bit) and has been working fine with a Logitech C270 webcam - until today that is!!!
Now the pc tells me that "one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it". If I go
to Devices & Printers it shows an "unknown device".
I have tried Restart and also re-downloading the driver from the Logitech website. I have also moved the webcam to various different USB 2.0 ports to
no avail.
The webcam works fine on my laptop so I plugged a USB memory stick to the pc - "unknown device"!!!!!
So far I understand that somehow my PC no longer recognises devices plugged into any of the USB ports.
How do I rectify this please? [need it in idiotproof language please]
Thanks in advance...
PS strangely my printer still works notwithstanding that it is also connected via a USB port

Sounds like a recent windows update has foobarred it, you could try rolling windows back to an earlier tate.

That occurred to me too but System Restore hasn't solved the problem.
Any more ideas?
