Sorry about your luck.

What type of media is the camera using?

Has it got wet?

Was the camera given a knock when thrown out? Might be a problem with the camera rather than the card. Can you take a picture onto a spare card? Have you access to an external card reader to test the card?

Cheers

Mark

move your stored pics to another temporary folder and re-install just in case.

Try this John

http://www.pcinspector.de/smart_media_recovery/uk/demo.html

We had a problem with our card and it found stuff we'd deleted ages ago as well as the stuff that had got corrupted. It's scary that it can find stuff you thought you'd consigned to the bin.

Pete,

Good link!

Rule 1: if you ever dispose of a digital camera, remove the storage card...

Sorry Conrod I dropped the thread a bit.

Have you had any joy with the camera yet?

Cheers

Why David, whatever have you been taking photos of that needs disposing of carefully?

Mrs Jenkins doesn't feature heavily does she?

Do you mean she needs to diet James? I should choose your words carefully, she might be looking over his shoulder .
