Half Life 2

This is a bit of help for anyone who's going to get a copy of this game

If you're getting Winsock error 1005

Make sure you allow steam through your windows firewall, switching firewall off is not enough.

Oh and its the dingo's dangly bits.

I got this yesterday morning, took hours for it to activate and then when I finally got it running my computer reboots every time the game loads! It looks like either my motherboard or graphics card is broken so I've gotta figure out which and then buy a new one

I've got mine working ok now, I installed some older graphics drivers and now it runs fine! Not sure why the new ones didn't work, might try and install them again at some point and see how they go

And yes I agree, best FPS ever, and most probably best game ever

I got this game on release date, finished on hard withing a couple of days. Its very good, excellent. I enjoyed it almost as much as original halflife. I found HL2 lacked the atmosphere and story of HL. Also it was far too easy But then again there'll be so many mods and online multiplaying will be 1337
