Skype

got an E mail,all properly addressed to me saying that i needed to update my skype,down loaded it and now it,s broken,error message says " logical processor" is incomplete,tried to system restore but thats not playing ball,any ideas or should i delete and try again...answer in simple terms please

Probably uninstall SKYPE and reinstall from a trusted source.

deleted,rebooted compo and downloaded from here http://www.skype.com/en/

same error message

running XP 2002 BTW

Have you checked the latest version of Skype still works with XP? They may have withdrawn support.

a quick websearch suggests, if it is an xp machine to re-install service pack 3.


alternatively, you may be able to find an earlier version of Skype
