Swap cards from one machine to the other. That should confirm it.

Is it vga or pci graphic card?

You should get a beep code from your bios, usually 1 long and 2 short. I have one in an old motherboard and when it comes loose it tells me.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I have seen where the video refresh rate gets screwy and goes to high for the monitor to know what to do with, so the monitor shuts down. Rebooting in Safe mode or vga enabled if your in windows will let youknow if thats the issue.
