Need to resize images? I have a tip for you!
Hey, it occured to me that some people may not have image editing software, or may not know how to use it, but still want to make their images smaller
to upload to the forum. For you I offer the following helpful tip:
If you use windows XP and Outlook express mail client I have a neat image resizing tip for you that's easier and quicker than opening an image
editing program.
1- Browse to your image(s) (possibly located in the 'My Pictures' folder) and select the image name(s) you wish to resize. If you hold
down the ctrl-key when you click the names you can select more than one.
2- Right-Click and choose Send to> Mail recipient
3- The image resizing dialog appears and you can choose the default "make my pictures smaller" or "show more options" where
you can choose different resizing options.
4- Once Outlook Express opens you will see that your image (or images if you selected multiples) are attached to a new email message. Don't send
the email.
5- Instead, left-click and on the image attachment icon and drag it onto the desktop.
6- Viola! The resized image(s) will now be on your desktop and you can upload them to forums in a much more viewable size.
Hope this helps our forum users that upload massively large images!

What size do they have to be to include in a posting. I tried to insert a couple of resized pics in a post recently without success. Perhaps tey
weren't small enough.

They need to be less than 250kb to put in as attachment or less than 750kb to upload to your photo album IIRC.
I think it was agreed that 800px wide in a topic is plenty big enough, and gives those people still on 1024x768 a chance to see the whole image
without scrolling.
