Maximize button

Hi All,

I'm a bit of a numpty on pooters so please excuse the dumb question.

When I click on an icon on the desktop the site comes up in the "restore down" size.
I have to click on the (top right) maximize button to get it up full screen.
Google still comes up full screen but others don't, ebay & locostbuilders etc.

I know I'm just being lazy but they used to come up "maximized"

Have I clicked on something I shouldn't?
Can I alter it back, or more to the point, is it easy to do?

I bet the Missus has been dusting again and pressed all the buttons.

Thanks

Paul G

Don't use the maximise button, use the sizing arrows to "pull" the window to the size you want then close all explorer windows leaving the "resized" window till last. Next time you open a secondary window it should be full size.

Did that make sense?

i noticed this one, i think it normally comes up full sized but not maximised, only goes noticably wrong when the missus drags it down a bit - then i just pull all the sizes back to the edge and its ok again, but still never maximised.

Normally if you open one window, then maximise it then close it straight away, when you open it again it should open maximised.

This worked for me the other day, but hasnt worked in the past, might as well give it a try though, make sure only one window is open when you do it though.

If you right click the icon, click on "properties" then in the "run"
window is the option for maximise etc when you open the prog.

windows remembers the size it was when last closed, if you maximise it then close the next time you open a window it should come back maximised.

It didn't for me Taz. I'd tried that before I started this thread, but the size arrows it does remember,
in fact I did it for L/b and the screen is that size for all sites.
Thanks to Neil, and everyone else who replied.

I'll get the hang of this pooter one day.
