Changing an iPod battery

My brothers iPod battery is pretty much dead, it last about 30 mins from a full charge.

Had a quick search on ebay and there are plenty on batteries about, some coming with opening tools and starting from about £5.

How easy are they to open? His is a 3G i think (its got the wheel and the 4 buttons above it)

Its a couple of years old now, so wont be able to get anything done under warrenty and dont want to pay whatever apple want to charge.

Anyone done one before?

Cheers

I got a battery for my brother in law from these guys and followed the instructions.
Absolute breeze to sort it.

Did it using the instructions and tools that came with the battery. Think it was about £10 off ebay.
Took about 5 minutes to do.
If you can build a car you can change an iPod battery, amd all that nonsense
