DVD Region Encoding

Hiya All.

Think I know the answer to this already but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Does anyone know of any software that will let you change the region encoding on a dvd when you ...erm.... back it up?

DVD Shrink lets you make a backup that is region free. It rather hard to get hold of these day due to bans etc. Let me know if you would like it emailed to you

DVD Shrink, DVD Decryptor and DVDFab Decryptor are the programs you want to download. Only the latter is being updated still.

Also you can run DVD Region Killer on your PC which dynamically removes any region or macro protection. So you can play US bought DVDs on your PC without having to flash the DVD-ROM BIOS for example.

Alternatively you could rip the DVD to your hard drive and encode it with Divx. A DVD quality movie on divx is about 1.5Gig.

You can play this back on your PC and can also get a Divx DVD player to play it on the telly.

I have DVD shrink thanks... although I've never really used it. Does it remove the encoding automatically? as I can't find an option to do this anywhere in my version.

Thanks for all your help guys.

James

When you select backup there is a tab for region. Under here there is the option to change it to any region or make it region free.
