Programme shuts down on it's start up ??
Very sad i know but i have started to use MS Flight Simulator 2004 and all was well until this afternoon. I double clicked on the icon as usual and
the splash screen appeared (as usual) It went through it's usual 'searching for scenery files' thing that it does and when it gets
to 98% it just disappears. Now this happens every time. I have done 2 system restores back to yesterday and nowt, still the same.
Once it did have an error message come up (the one that sends a message to Microsoft) saying about the FS9.exe file and ModName Fe.dll
Any ideas how to cure? I have looked on the MS website for support but it's all meaningless to me. Oh and i have un installed and re installed
the software 3 times now!!

Has a .dll file been moved by the system into a new location. I know a system restore should take you back to the original position but not always the
case in my limited experience.
Have you searched for the .dll file that it says it can't access ?
I've had this with MS flight sim myself. They tend to be very fussy on system requirements. HTH

deleted them all in the Microsoft games folder in Programme files and re installed the software.........hey presto!!!!
