solidworks 2007 weldments question

Hi, just been playing with the tutorials on weldments, but is it possible to use the wire diagram as an outside measurement when placing the bars on or do they always have to represent the centre line. For example i want to make a box section frame 500x500x500 but at the moment i can only do this by drawing a sketch 25mm smaller and placing the box section on this. Im sure its really simple but i seem to be struggling a bit. Thanks

Andrew,

You can locate the profile section WRT the wire diagram (line sketch) by altering the piece point. Click 'Locate Profile' at the bottom of the structural member menu then just select a vertex or point created in the profile sketch.

Not sure if thats what your asking or if that helps..........

Cheers,

Chris
