Trying to connect to locostbuilders

Here is a strange one.

My works PC connects fine ( just logged out and back in with my user name and password to check )

Same user name and password on my laptop at home it accepts the password and retuns to the main page but has not loged me in ( if I try a different password I get an 'error... password', the laptop has connected before no probs, My wife's laptop will connect no problem same wifi network.

I have cleaned my temp intenet files down and deleted the cookies dropped my IE security settings down a bit but always the same story it accepts my password but returns me to the main page.

The only other strange thing that is happening is Hotmail is comming up with somthing about security certificate.

I suspect the wife has nobbled my laptop !!

so what to check next if I cant get onto locostbuilders I might have to start wathcing corrie and its a slippery slope.

Regards

Is your laptop blocking cookies from locostbuilders? I presume it uses them to check you're logged in / out.

Which browser are you using? You haven't dowgraded to IE7 have you?

Cheers,

Vince

Sounds like it is not accepting cookies.

With some security settings you need to reboot.

Other than that; talk sweet to your laptop while placing a big hammer next to it. Gently brush the laptop with the hammer while you put it down. Works for me most of the time!

Stick Firefox on there. Much nicer than IE anyhoo... It might be one of the MS security patches tripping up on locostbuilders' cookies or something.......

Cheers

Try adding locostbuilders to your trusted sites tab and to "sites" under the privacy tab, restart ie and try again

Install firefox, if only as a test.
It's a far better browser, much quicker and lower memory footprint.

If it works in firefox then you know it's an IE problem, if it doesn't you know it's a laptop problem.
