Riddled...
Imagine my dismay when, as a result of slow internet access, i did a virus scan and found 84 viruses and 28 spywares floating about on my poorly hard
drive....
Deleted the only bot and internet is now ok, but as i have no proper virus software i have to delete the remaining 83 viruses manually...
it was kazalite that let them all in!

Go to Symantec and download the 30 day trial of Norton anti virus. It lets you live update with the latest
definitions and clears out all the little b's!
(and if you like the look of it £30 isn't much to ask for saving the hassle of getting infected in the future!)

Use AVG, it's totally free with free updates.

You should be using some AV software all the time but especially now, there's a virus that doing the rounds called Sobig.F or something like
that, I've been sent it over 10 times in the last 24 hours.

Spyware reports your internet activity to it's masters, with the intention of targeting smam that you might be interested in, judged on which
sites you visit, thats why you get all those viagra mails!!!!
Cheers
Chris
Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

Here's a program that will check your PC for adware and spyware.
Link Here
Please note that some software utilise ads so you may have it for free. Some of these programs may not work if you use the above software.

I use AVG virus checker and Adaware as well as Spybot S&D to clear them out. Don't set them to check the registry or delete any keys you
might need and watch out if you check your usage tracks as you can wipe your internet history tab which is sometimes useful.
yours, Pete.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
