MS FLIGHT SIM
Hi All,
Are any of you Flight Sim experts? I want to practice NDB approaches into Westland (Yeovil), but MS have left out the DME. Is it possible to create
and upload one, and if so, how?
TIA, Ian.

Hi,
i've just had a look and it appears you can do it through AFCAD have a look
here
very useful tool - it also allows you to add taxiways and gates etc. DME is on insert menu

Alternatively, try adding the attached to your \Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\scenery or similar file. I've not really
played around much with adding DMEs but it might work

you could always dump that MS software...
.. and use FlightGear instead. Its free, and is available for many platforms including Windows if you
must or better yet Linux,BSD or Mac.

Or else you can shoot your NDB approach the old way. By timing. Just do it in something slow at first, like a C172 and stick to 90Kts throught the
approach.
