CD/DVD writing software for Win2000? - SORTED

I've just fitted a DVD writer to my old Windoze 2000 PC that I use for those jobs that just can't be done on Linux (not many!).

I'm now looking for some reliable and FREE software that will allow me to write CDs and DVDs. I've looked at Nero, but theirs is just a 15-day trial followed by payment.

Any other good ones worth having?

(I find this very annoying, as Ubuntu comes with a choice of CD/DVD burning software, with dozens of others available for download. Most work VERY well, and they're all free!)

cheers,
David

Nero OEM is available as a free download, its often bundled with new drives.

ftp://ftp2.usw.nero.com/oem/FSC/Nero-6.6.1.6.exe

It should be an unlimited 'trial' if you like. Its got all the basic functions you would ever need.

I found you need to set the screen at least 1024x768 to see all the buttons.

That's the one viatron suggested...
...it works well, too!

I had to install .NET first, which took ages, but then the s/w installed and ran very well.

Mind you, it's an amazingly close replica of linux KDE software K3B, which is the one I use in Ubuntu! Same layout, buttons in almost the same place, and so on.

Thanks to all,
David
