AVG Free - Virus Database Out of date
Just a query as to whether anyone knows whether Grisoft are continuing to support AVG Free. I have the latest updates but the program is saying the
database is out of date
can anyone answer why this is perhaps...

It does go out of date and you need to download the latest version so i understand. It updates automatically if you purchase the full software!

Hi,
I've had AVG installed for the last few days and it's fine except that it's trying to do a scan of the c: drive every time I switch
on and that's slowing the computer down. I can't find the option to stop this, any ideas?

Open AVG Control Center, go into Scheduler and disable sheduled scanning.

eh? surely a scheduled scan is kind of the main point of AV software!
I have 1 machine using it and that is set to do a full system scan every night but I selected (can't remeber where now - sorry) to NOT do a scan
at startup... works for me...
