Wireless network range

I've bought a cheapy pcmcia wireless network card and discovered that I can pick up an unsecured network of a factory where I work, giving me free broadband which is nice

The only trouble is that the signal level is a bit low and frequently drops out which can be a bit frustrating.

As I know no shame, is there any locost way of improving the range or amplifying the signal ?

Cheers,
Raz

Go over there and ask them to move their sender a bit closer? or nearer the window?

Click the BUT link in my last reply, there has been at least one successful prosecution.

It's a bit easier than you think to trace an illegal computer on your network, and any security consultant worth his salt would quickly find some information on the machine to prove identity, also every wireless card (and wired ones) have a unique number that can be traced as well
