Free laptops ?

Well not free, but nothing ever is, is it ?

Anyway, BT phoned me at the weekend to offer me money off my broadband service, which translates as.
"Your lock-in has just finished, so let's get you locked in again in case you think of moving."

I broke the habit of a lifetime and managed to see through their hidden agenda and am now considering my options.

Seeing as this is being typed on an ancient laptop, a nice shiny new one for nowt seems like a good deal.
Apart from the 18 month lock in at £19.99 a month, has anyone else any experience of the free laptop broadband deals ?

Cheers

Yep, got this one on the Orange deal about 6 months ago, I upgraded for £70 and got a higher spec machine, was probably an outgoing machine. 18 month lock in, but as has been said nowts for nowt, I took the higher broadband service at £19.99 pm, service isn't bad but I dont have high demands. As far as I know no small print gotcha's

I took out AOL's Dell wireless laptop in November on an 18 month contract with free evening and weekend calls for £22 something a month, cheaper than actually buying a laptop and keeping my original service plan.

You can't have everything, they are £4/month cheaper.

I like TalkTalk, now that my connection issue has been sorted. Currently downloading at over 3 Meg, which isn't half bad for somebody rural.
