what browser to use

i am currently running IE7 but its frickin doing my nut, slow speeds, slow window loading and it crashes, whata re the alternatives and which is best ie firefox,mozilla etc?

Firefox and Google Chrome are the two big players -- Google Chrome isn't that well supported yet but it will be.

Seamonkey is another version of Firefox but more like the old Netscape Navigator suite.

Of the others Avanti is just a dressed up Internet Explore, Opera is a love or hate thing --- personally I think it is pants.

I tried Firefox a couple of years ago - and there's no way I'd ever go back to explorer

I use Firefox for my own stuff, but some websites (including some of my company's applications) only work properly with IE

firefox beta mainly and IE8 beta for a few bits and bobs but mainly because i like new software

Safari is good too. If the computer is slowing down just reinstall windows. Gets rid of all the crap bit obviously back up your important things to a separate drive first.

Recent test in Vnunet showed Opera and IE about the same with Firefox, Safari and Chrome about the same.....

Firefox here too. Haven't updated to the latest version yet though as I heard this site doesn't display properly.

Can anyone tell me if its ok yet?

I'm using V3.0.5 and it displays OK for me. There is a addon somewhere if you can only see it in a narrow strip down the left hand side of the screen..

i got p1ssed off with IE7 and downloaded google chrome, soooo much quicker! only thing is it doesnt work with msn email, i can view but cant reply to emails.

Firefox or Opera for me. Not at all convinced about the Google browser, especialy as it appeared to get installed automaticly when I installed Google Earth (to show the nipper Santa flying around on Christmas eve )
