iphone repair

Can anyone recommend someone to look at my iphone ?

The poxy thing either keeps on locking out and showing a black blank screen (OK after a few hours though) or it shows 'no SIM'.

No insurance, company phone but would like it fixed. Any suggestions ?

Cheers,

Lyn

Take it back to the shop where you got it, if you got it recently, (still in contract with them) They normally repair it because its a fault with the machine.

They have a one year guarantee from Apple... have they been out that long?

Ps... the SIM card holder is 'sprung' and can occasionally work loose without looking obviously so. Make sure it's firmly in place.

Mine sometimes does the black screen thing - I think they can get a bit too hot if you are using 3G a lot, e.g for streaming video etc.

You can reset the phone by holding down the power and home buttons together for about ten seconds. Usually does the trick, and won't alter settings or anything.

If you have jailbroken it just do a system reset, I had to when the mute button fell off mine and had to take it back.

It was actually the guy at the iphone shop that told me to do it as I was stupid enough to taken it back whilst still cracked lol

If it were me I would jailbreak it and restore it. I have used ziphone free to use, but obviously do your research before you unlock it (i wouldn't want to be the one responsible if it went up Sh*t creek). It worked on my 2g.
