DVD Codec for Windows Media Player 11

Whats the best (free) DVD Codec to download to get DVDs to play on Windows Media Player 11 or am i better off with a separate (free) DVD player application?

I struggle to find anything that wont play on VCL media player - which is free, not a very pretty interface but works very well and saves hours of p*ssing about trying to find up to date codecs

My advice would be to get a proper dvd player from you favourite p2p platform or even better purchase it from a legit dealer, but be very careful if you download free codec packs, usually full of shite as well as nasty stuff sometimes.

3rd for VLC too

Just my view

I'm not a fan of VLC, it works but it's, just ew.

I generally use Media player classic HC for DVDs
