monitor fubared?

my monitor has started playing around,the colour of the background keeps going from blue to beige,i assume its the monitor on it,s way out?if so,anyone local got one going spare?

It's worth fiddling around with the connector on the back of the monitor and at the back of the computer, I've had this happen and it was just a loose connection....

Got a monitor here you can have John if it turns out to be the screen rather than the cable

Just needs a 15way lead from the pc to monitor (Did have a look and couldn't find one in my slowly depleting pile of PC related crap here)

It may be that your cable is detachable at the monitor end and this one here will just plug in

It is an old style big CRT and not a flat screen and is almost the size and weight of a Pinto engne, so your desk may need extra triangulation

my mates used to do the same, til one day he had a new monitor think the result was the cable wasn't broke, but the insides of the socket in the monitor was

a good slap on the side would suggest it,s a wonky connexion inside,the lead from the PC seems to be permanently attached.

my mates went pink actually. as did my mums laptop before the screen on that gave up
