Help! Solidworks won't open
I have some drawings that my solidworks 2005 won't open and I think the problem is they were made on a newer version.
Is there any free programme that will let me open them and print?
Cheers!

Solidworks update path is a nightmare, we have machines running at work, and if anyone so much as looks at the next version the rest all fall over.
Edrawings is a fix to view, but no good to do anything else, keeping SW upto date seems the only recourse.

As above no easy fix unless you get the people who built it on a newer version to save as Iges file, then you can import it, not great but it's
better than just being able to view it in e drawings

Many thanks I had already found that programme and it did not work - perhaps there is something else wrong if it works for you I'll go back to
suppliers and see if they can resave it
