Hp PIN printing - Multiple job with the same Name
Any Techies out there thats up on HP PIN printing? Where the Printer hold the print until the user arrives and enters their PIN and they get the print
they sent.
All is OK until the user send two print jobs with the same name. The second job overwrites the first we would like it to append a numeric version
number on the end ( the driver indicates that this 'Should' happen ) but 2 days a no further forward and its driving me nuts.
Any help apreciated
Many Thanks

Been a few years since I was the printer guru at Nokia.
However, I'd probably start by experimenting with different drivers (hide the new share so your punters don't start seeing it!). I'm
sure you've downloaded the latest driver but have you tried others? Both PCL and PS drivers?
Anything on the HP forum about it?
Best of Luck,
James

Cheers James
using the latest HP universal driver ( as we are looking to move to this for our HP printer fleet ) but have not tried PS so will give that a go.
nothing on the HP forum which suggest its something local to our setup or printers I will try a Ps driver when I am back in the office tomorrow.
thanks again

Stupid question but you're not using any third-party printing management software? Often this will delete "repeat" printing jobs
assuming the user has either pressed print twice accidently or pressed print again when they got fed up of waiting for the spooler?
PCounter and PaperCut are two apps that have this facility but there's bound to be other print management software that has the same feature?
