VPN configuration

I'm trying to connect to a client's computer through a virtual private network.

I'm able to connect at 9600bps (though it's using my internet connection, not my modem). I'm also unable to see that computer in Network Neighborhood.

My DSL internet connection is through another computer connected directly to mine without a router.

Any ideas? Do I need another network card to support VPN?

Would GREATLY appreciate your sage advice.

Pete

Partially resolved...

OK, I was able to get on the target network OK, but connection speed is still 9600bps.

I traced the route and all is fine up to their end, when tracert.exe times out.

Aside from having them call their ISP, anyone have any suggestions?
