HP deskjet help

I went to get print cartridges for my lexmark X75 and found a hpdeskjet 3920 for the same price so I bought it. It seems the cartridge life on this is as good as the Lexmark (both crap). I refilled the cartridge, as her thats home from uni used it all in an hours worth of printing but I can't find a way of resetting it as a new cartridge and keep getting the low ink pop up.
Anyone got any ideas hoe to solve it (apart from a new cartridge) Oh and the level indicator doesn't work either.

If its a chipped cartridge you will have to buy a thing to reset them. They are about £10 IIRC, available from Wilkinsons amonst other places.

Shouldve bought an Epson

I've got an old stylus colour 200 so there

It was a good enough printer and might come out of retirement.

Sylus Colour 200 -- not one of my favourite printers, really bad for jamming.

Cheaper HPs use much smaller ink cartridges than the more expensive ones, in addition some models take two different size cartridges.

The ones in the new printers are only 1/3 full usually. The next ones will last longer.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
