Computer Problem

When I boot my laptop, It comes up with an error message saying 'NMIndexStoreSvr.exe has performed an illegal operation'

Now no programs will open they all get the same message.

Ive never seen this NMIndex thing before, is it something that runs in the background or do you think it is the cause of the problems.

Running in Safe mode at the moment, but its still very slow to do anything.

Using XP SP2

Help!

p.s. Havent installed anything in the last couple of days.

Cheers for the help Mookaloid. I would have search myself, but I was about to go to work when I discovered it and my computer was going so slow.

Turns out it was the copy of Nero 7 I installed a week ago, not sure why the problems just started happening.

IE still isnt working though, which is a bit of a pain as quite a few of my programs link to it directly.
