Multiple eBay emails

One thing that has puzzled me for a while now - whenever eBay send me an email, they always send it in triplicate so my inbox is filling up with their messages.

Is there any reason why this happens?

Doesn't happen to me

Have you got more than one email address which ebay is sending notifications to?

Cheers

I don't get that but it doesn't surprise me at all. My account was hacked three months ago and they still haven't sorted it out despite roughly 100 emails I've sent to them, so I came to the conclusion long ago that the place is run by morons and/or chimps.

No that can't be right, chimps would do a much better job...

I get that now and again.
The biggest pain is the 'The item you are watching is ending soon' messages that I get the day after the sale ends!

I've only got the one email for eBay purposes so it's not that. Funny thing is that swmbo has the same problem with her eBay emails too on a separate computer. Also she has an earlier version of IE so its not one of Bill's bugs either.

I'll drop their techies an email to see if it a recognised problem.

I got a reply from eBay today

"Thank you for writing eBay Customer Support. I apologise for the delay in our response. I'm sorry to hear that you have multiple copies of eBay emails.

I apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused to you. However, please be assured that eBay sends only 1 notification per member. But sometimes members receive multiple copies of these notices sent from eBay through their Internet Service Provider.

In this situation I would suggest you to contact your Internet Service Provider and inform them about your problem. Currently, for this situation, they have access to all your account information, and are much better equipped to answer your question. "

Ah well, another email to Talktalk then ....
