Broken IE7
Yes, before you ask, I do use Firefox most of the time, but have to use IE to load info to my web site as the form page doesn't work in Firefox.
So.....
When I open IE7 it immediately shuts down and I get the following message in a box:
File Download
Do you want to save this file?
Name: admin.html
Type: Firefox.html
From: www.suepearson.co.uk
This file you are downloading cannot be opened by the default programme.......
If I try and save it it won't save and only leaves me to option to close it.
I've tried a fresh re-install on IE7 but no joy. My homepage is the admin site for my web site.
Any ideas?

Looks to me like a hijack attempt,
First thing to do is download and run HijackThis only download it from links on this url http://www.merijn.org/programs.php
Hijack this will give you a list of changes to the registry since windows was installed, use HighJackThis to delete any registry entries that relate
changes in the IE start up page.

I check www.suepearson.co.uk is a genuine site so something strange has happened.

Thanks mate - downloaded and run, unfortunately it makes about as much sense to me as Arabic. I've uploaded the results to there web site:
Hijackthis
If you care to have a look (or anybody else for that matter!) I'd appreciate it, otherwise I# I'll just delete everything related to IE7

One thing to try (and useful all the time if you use firefox and are stuck with ie only websites) is "IE Tab"
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419
it runs internet exploder as the renderer for certain websites you define. So you never need leave firefox again.
It might not sort this particular problem though.
