On line CAD object library?
Anyone know of a source of common CAD components used in our cars? Things like wheels, racks, uprights, engines, seats etc.
I am playing with Solidworks and need to start somewhere and there's no point in reinventing the wheel
Cheers,
Raz

If you have a legit copy of Solidworks they have a massive library of all sorts.
If on the other hand you are like me and have; 'borrowed a copy for evaluation purposes'...............
Although quite a few Solidworks 'gurus' on here may be able to help.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

CBE - It's a [cough] evaluation copy so that might make my search a little more difficult I guess.
twybrow - I have found a few libraries like that one but I was thinking about someting more car specific if that is possible.
Cheers,
Raz

Found THIS a while ago. Have not used it yet but it seems to have a fair bit of stuff on there.

Yep, another vote for that one for me. BUT, if you are after something very specific, then prepair to be disapointed. Most online models are generic
items that you need to mod to suit
