Is my broadband going to melt?!

Even though my BT Broadband router is just getting 1amp at 12v it's so hot I can barely touch it!! Is this normal? I'm scared to leave it on unattended for fear it might burst into flames It also seems to get very unreliable when hot, locking up or booting me out of the web. I'm not very happy with it

My Home Hub was just unreliable, dropping the connection, needing to be switched off and on again.
Since I switched back to my old Netgear router, I haven't had a single problem

Methinks a call to their support line is called for. If its getting that hot then maybe it is faulty - my Netgear hub is as cool as a cucumber.

ok so it seems that is meant to be hot, can't think why it would do so but this is really hot, I'm half tempted to open it up to see whats doing it. There's hardy any cooling vents and none on the bottom, hmm I'll open it up when I get home and see if I can do something about it. Cheers.

I used the BT one for a while but due to it losing connection went back to my Netgear - not 1 problem since.
