Domain registered with Compila - PROBLEMS Moan
Pulling my hair out with this one.
I have a couple of domain names one of which is hosted and registered with Compila. I moved it to Compila because I was having problems with lost
emails with previous hosting company.
All has been well for 18 months until I got an email from Nominet saying the domain registration had expired. I knew that it hadn't been flagged
up by Compila and I had checked my account at Compila only a week earlier and it had not shown as being due.
Thinking about it I realised the problem probably existed due to the hosting and domain registration dates being different.
No problem I thought just inform Compila they can straighten it out I their records and I can pay the renewal fee.
Three emails latter no response from Compila, in contrast Nominet have been helpful and quick to respond.
If I hear nothing tomorrow I will register the domain with another registrar/hosting company.
I guess pay peanuts get monkeys.

I have a bunch of domains registered through UK2.net. They have been very good and cheap. That is more than I can say for any of the other companies I
have been with, I am currently struggling with Domain Registrars of America over my most valuable domain, they are trying to lift it from the
web-hosts for the site it points to!
Good luck with the transfer.

They are a bunch of poachers and try and confuse people into renewing with them
Just ignore them, they look for .com domain names that are coming into renewal and then emailing them an invoice for the re-registration.
They tried it o with a customer of mine, luckily he didn't unlock the name for moving.
