argh virus.
Right its one of those viruses which redirects my internet explorer to either nothing or a randow page.
I havent installed or ran anything on here for a while so im stumped how its got on my pc.
If i go to google, type anything in (tested it with 'BBC' and click on one of the results (first one being www.bbc.co.uk) it pauses, then
jumpes thru aboute 4 blank websites and then either stops on a blank one or last time it was some health page.
i have ran my avg and adaware and nothing comes up. i have also ran task manager to see if my running processes have doubled and it looks fine.
Any help?
Sorry about my spelling, im an engineer and only work in numbers.

looks like a browser hijack
First thing to do is download HijackThis ( http://www.merijn.org/programs.php ) run it it should should list anything that has been altered since
the original windows install. ------ it will be a long list, latest items will be at the bottom so start looking right at the end.
If that dosen't work get back to us.
You could also try Firefox http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/

Had a similar issue on my work laptop recently and our IT guy advised me to try this tool first.
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix_En.php
It is a spyware/adware removal tool which deals with a large number of infections of this type. It's free and very simple to use so has to be
worth a try.
