Lap Top Error

Can anyone help, my lap top (Acer) was working fine then my daughter went on music share site and now i have a run error and can't add or remove programs or connect to the inter net.

Any idea's?

I hope you have a virus checker like AVG? I would never download stuff without one as there are many Trojan viruses on these share sites, especially downloaded programs. They seem to be very clever at hiding stuff as I have even downloaded MP3 music files that actually open web pages! I'd also say that Limewire etc is not suitable for kids due to some of the content that comes up.

If not then thats the first thing I'd do, download it, its free too.

oops just noticed you can't even get on the web anymore, class. How about restoring the system to an earlier saved version, that tends to work quite well.

As per Mr Whippy, try and recover the system to an earlier version, but turn off auto recovery, some of these things are even clever enough to restore themselves.
