Spybot - Search & Destroy

I have Spybot - Search and Destroy installed (version 1.5.2) Previously, a complete scan used to take about 40 minutes but for the last few weeks, a full scan now takes just over 3 hours

Anyone else using it and noticed this too?

Phil

I'll try mine later for you, it normally takes 45mins to run fully so should be comparable.

Phil,

The latest version is 1.6.0.31......

I usually find it takes around 40-ish minutes. however, it can take longer if you have stuff you are looking at/working on...that is to say, programmes/browser open and running.

OK, just ran CleanUp, did a defrag and am currently doing a scan on Spybot - S&D, which has taken two hours so far. One thing I have noticed is a very large amount of files under the heading of Virtumonde.sdn

After googling "Virtumonde.sdn" I'm not liking the results I'm reading..............

Phil,

Virtumonde.sdn = Trojan

Update to the latest 'free' SpyBot S&D once sorted.... they usually release the latest threats on Wednesdays/Thursdays.....don't forget to immunise once you have downloaded the latest database updates.

Good luck....
