Ubuntu - Mint users heads up on speed issues

If you are running a Ubuntu or a related distro such as Mint and finding performance not quite as sharp as you might expect the slow down is likely to be cause by the indexing process "trackerd" --- either disable it or uninstall it via Synaptic you will notice a big difference in performance.
